In Case You Missed It: Obama Sings Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’ at Fundraiser
President Obama took the stage at a fundraiser at New York’s historic Apollo Theater in Harlem. Before making his speech, he thanked the night’s previous performers, including soul legend Al Green. He broke into a line from Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” and it instantly became a YouTube moment. The Commander in Chief can actually carry a tune! (Update: Via Talking Points Memo, he’s also belted out some Aretha Franklin in the past.)
