Lyrics:
A Natural Woman
Aretha Franklin
Looking out on the morning rain (a-ooh)
I used to feel uninspired (a-ooh)
And when I knew I had to face another day (a-ooh)
Lord, it made me feel so tired
Before the day I met you
Life was so unkind
But you're the key to peace my mind
'Cause you make me feel
You make me feel
You make me feel like a natural woman (woman)
When my soul was in the lost-and-found
You came along to claim it
I didn't know just what was wrong with me
Till your kiss helped me name it
Now I'm no longer doubtful
Of what I'm living for
And if I make you happy I don't need to do more
'Cause you make me feel
You make me feel
You make me feel like a natural woman (woman)
Oh, baby, what you've done to me? (What you've done to me?)
You make me feel so good inside (good inside)
And I just wanna be (wanna be)
Close to you, you make me feel so alive
You make me feel
You make me feel
You make me feel like a natural woman (woman)
You make me feel
You make me feel
You make me feel like a natural woman (woman)
You make me feel
You make me feel

I say a little prayer

« "I Say a Little Prayer" is a song written by songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David for Dionne Warwick, originally peaking at number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart in December 1967.
"I Say a Little Prayer" also returned to the Pop & R&B Top Ten in the fall of 1968 via a recording by Aretha Franklin taken from her 1968 Aretha Now album; Franklin and her backup singers the Sweet Inspirations were singing the song for fun while rehearsing the songs intended for the album and the viability of Franklin actually recording "I Say a Little Prayer" became apparent. Franklin's version was intended as the B-side of the July 1968 single release "The House that Jack Built" but began to accrue its own airplay that August. »
« Aretha Louise Franklin (born March 25, 1942) is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Although known for her soul recordings and referred to as The Queen of Soul, Franklin is also adept at jazz, blues, R&B, gospel music, and rock. Rolling Stone magazine ranked her atop its list of The Greatest Singers of All Time as well as the ninth greatest artist of all time. She has won 18 competitive Grammys and two honorary Grammys. She has 20 No.1 singles on the Billboard R&B Singles Chart and two No.1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: "Respect" (1967) and "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)" (1987), a duet with George Michael. Since 1961, she has scored a total of 45 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. She also has the most million-selling singles (14) of any female artist. Between 1967 and 1982 she had 10 No.1 R&B albums—more than any other female artist.
Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
(I say a little prayer for you)
The moment I wake up
Before I put on my makeup (makeup)
I say a little (prayer for you)
And while I'm combing my hair now
And wondering what dress to wear now (wear now)
I say a little (prayer for you)
[Chorus]
(Forever) Forever (and ever) yeah
(You'll stay in my heart and I will love you)
(Forever) Forever (and ever) ever
(We never will part, oh, how I love you)
(Together) Together (together) together
(That's how it must be to live without you)
(Would only mean heartbreak for me)
[Verse 2]
I run for the bus, dear
And while riding I think of us, dear (us, dear)
I say a little (prayer for you)
And at work I just take time
And all through my coffee break time (break time)
I say a little (prayer for you)
[Chorus]
(Forever) Forever (and ever) and ever
(You'll stay in my heart and I will love you)
(Forever) Forever (and ever) and ever
